Garden Design Testimonials From Former Clients

Below are just a few testimonials from past clients.

“With a limited budget, we wanted a garden to provide peace and beauty with practical low-maintenance planting; a place where our homeless clients would feel comfort and safety in the quiet delight of a garden and a frontage that indicated a residence with style and quality. Ivan fulfilled both these aspirations for us through his expert skill and knowledge, his attention to detail and exceptional aesthetic judgement.  He achieved a superb design that delivered an attractive but practical garden with a peaceful, soothing ambience. A combination of green shrubs and graceful trees were painstakingly selected to create the setting we needed and then carefully combined with paving and landscaping that is timeless, elegant and stylish.”

“I have used Ivan on two projects polar opposite in terms of contract value – one c£5m, a regeneration of a 181 bed homeless hostel and the other a small garden project of under £10k. Whilst these projects were markedly different, on both occasions Ivan demonstrated the utmost professionalism and commitment to achieving the best solution for the budget. He often went way beyond the ‘call of duty’ in sourcing materials for the best value and creatively solving design challenges, and developed strong professional relationships with the design team. Ivan designs with his heart and with passion, has a genuine desire to understand the client brief and his perseverance to complete any commission to the highest standards means he adds significant value to any project he is engaged in. I have no hesitation in recommending him and am already considering the next project which he can assist me with.”

“We were delighted to secure Ivan’s services immediately subsequent to his winning gold at Hampton Court. We live in a very old house with a garden that has been developed over centuries and have no desire to change it, however the removal of a large old yew tree created space for a new dining area in a small space between the house and barn. We were very keen to re-use materials found on site that matched other garden areas and Ivan made creative use of the Victorian clay tiles, knapped flint and bricks available, dropping a sunken herb garden into this difficult sloping area and providing a place for 8 people to eat in a small space, using box topiary to soften, enclose and create an alcove to display a sculpture. We love using this area, as do guests who visit, and the best thing is that it is already entirely of a piece with the rest of the garden.”
