This client approached me to help make over his poorly implemented existing garden, which had been built by a developer only three years previously
The client wanted to brighten up the planting and intriduce more seasonal interest and colour, get rid of the terrible Indian Sandstone paving (to be replaced with porcelain) and erect a bespoke barbeque shade. A new composting area was hidden behind the garden studio, and new stepping stones were added to the lawn. The new paving progresses up a stepped side alley righ to the front of the house.
The deisgn uses London Stone Kandla Grey porcelain paving for a clean, low-maintenance, simple and modern look. this is used in the many step treads with a 20mm bullnose. The borders were re-planted with Achillea, Salvia, Geum, Astrantia, roses and grasses to maximise summer colours, with evergreen flowering climbers planted to the fences. It’s a very si,le transformation but the client is really pleased with how the new paving and planting has improved the garden.
The barbeque shade is currently being fabricated and will be unstalled in spring 2023.
